We're hiring - Production General Manager


APiC UK Limited are one of the largest Aluminium Glazing Companies located in the West Midlands and Gloucestershire area. The Company designs, fabricates and installs Aluminium curtain walling, windows, doors and screens, roof glazing and structural glazing systems.


Established in June 2006, the company is growing rapidly due to commercial success and a full order book.


We are looking to recruit a Production General Manager for our Gloucester branch.


The ideal candidate must have experience in Aluminium Curtain Wall, Window and Door fabrication (main systems Kawneer, Metal Technology and others).


Responsible for, not limited to:

  • Issue and organise work in the factory

  • Ensure programme deadlines are achieved

  • Ensure fabrication quality is maintained

  • Quality checks sheets are filled in and filed

  • Arrange and monitor machinery services and repairs

  • Improve working process throughout the factory

  • Ensure factory is kept tidy and well organised

  • Ensure material stock levels are maintained to meet programme dates

  • Arrange fabrication training on new products and systems

  • Responsibility for Health and Safety in the factory, ensuring fabricators all follow company guidelines

  • Working from a weekly production programme

  • Managing the factory stores man improving the goods in and out process

  • Reporting once a week to APiC’s Operations Director on the production programme

  • Co-ordinating and managing the production scheduler programming CNC and issuing factory work packs

  • Liaising with APiC Design team, chasing design information required for production

  • Liaise with the procurement department ensuring materials are ordered and delivered to the factory to meet production programme start dates

  • Communicate and coordinate deliveries with APiC site teams to meet on site programmes

  • Main point of contact for all production issues onsite and to be responsible for building the workforce resource


The Production General Manager will encourage and uphold a positive and hardworking ethos throughout the Gloucester Office and factory, be a team player and must have excellent communication skills.
